The department has continually organized several lecture series in the field of hydropower and tunnels. In collaboration with the departmental club, the department has organized two recent lecture series on tunnels and underground structures delivered by academicians and professionals from the field. Prof. Panthi from NTNU along with Dr. Gyanendra Lal Shrestha from NTA and Dr. Pawan Kumar Shrestha from ISRM has delivered lectures on history, design, and construction practices in tunnels in the Himalayas.
